FAQ’s

Where are you located?

We are based in Hockley in Essex. Our address is: Heico Fasteners UK Ltd, 6 Eldon Way, Hockley, Essex. SS5 4AD

What are your opening hours?

Our office hours are Monday to Thursday 08.00 – 17.00 and 08.00 – 16.00 on Fridays. We are not open at weekends.

How do I contact you?

You can call us on 01268 745421 or email us at [email protected]. If you call us out of office hours just leave us a message and we will get back to you when the office opens.

How can I pay for my order?

You can pay using Visa debit & credit cards, Visa Electron, Mastercard debit & credit cards and Maestro. We use Opayo (formerly Sage Pay) to process all our online payments, your details are always secure, and we never store your card details.

When will I receive my order?

For UK shipments we offer 3-5 Day, Next Working Day, Next Working Day AM and Saturday delivery as well as the option to collect from our premises in Hockley. Cut off for Next Working Day, AM and Saturday delivery is 12 noon. If you chose to collect from our premises, we will contact you when your order is ready for collection.

Do you only deliver to the UK?

Customers from a number of European countries can order direct from the site. Delivery lead times can be found on our Delivery page.

Customers from outside Europe can contact us at  [email protected] with their requirements and we will come back to you with carriage details.

How much is delivery?

Our delivery costs are based upon the service you request and the weight of your order. To find out what carriage options and costs are available, simply add your items into the basket and then add your post code in the ‘Calculate shipping’ field.

How do I return an item?

If you wish to return an item just contact us on 01268 745421 or [email protected] and let us know what you wish to return and why and confirm your original order number.

We will then email you a return address label along with a Returns Reference. Attach the returns label to your parcel and either include a copy of this email in your parcel or write the Returns Reference number on the delivery note you received with your original order and pop it in the parcel.

Please be aware that the provide label is simply an address label and not a carriage paid label. It is your responsibility to arrange delivery back to us.

What if my item is faulty?

If you believe your item to be faulty, please contact us straight away on 01268 745421 or [email protected]  We are entitled to replace or repair faulty goods free of charge or at our sole discretion to provide a refund, as applicable.

You must notify us of any issue within 30 days of receipt of the goods, providing full details of the fault.

Do you have Minimum Order Quantities?

No, we don’t have MOQ’s. We supply a large number of our products in various pack sizes, so you only have to order what you need.

Do you offer bulk discounts?

Many of our products have Multibuy pricing, so the more you buy the better pricing you get.

Do you offer Trade Accounts?

Yes, we do offer Trade Accounts. We supply to both Retail and Trade customers but the default prices on the site are Retail (and are identified as such on the product pages). If you are in the upholstery, furniture, interiors, antiques, film production etc trades you can apply for a trade Account which will give access to exclusive ‘Trade Only’ discounted pricing. Our Trade Accounts are not credit accounts and you will still need to make payment by credit/debit card, but you do get the best pricing, and we do like to look after our Trade Customers. Do you offer discounts?

Our regular newsletter always has offers and discounts so make sure to register for our newsletter when you register for a Trade Account. Right now we are offering a 10% discount to all new customers that register for our newsletter.

Do your prices include VAT?

No, our prices are displayed excluding VAT but you can see the VAT element in your basket before completing your order.

How do I get a VAT invoice for my order?

If you have a Trade Account you can login to your account and access all your orders and invoices in the ‘My account’ dashboard. If you don’t have a Trade Account, don’t worry, just email us at [email protected] and we will send you a copy by return.

How do I measure my furniture springs to make sure I am buying the correct size?

With our Zig Zag and Super Loop springs we advise to lay the spring out flat (you may need a hand from a friend with this) and measure end to end. It’s also advisable to measure the width of the spring (diameter) as we offer different gauges of springs. These measurements will correspond to the sizes on our site. Our traditional Double Cone springs are simply measured by height.

Will your sofa legs fit my furniture?

Most Sofas supplied in the UK are fitted with wooden legs that have an M8 dowel screw but please check the diameter of the screw on any existing legs to ensure correct fitting. If you have a different size screw it may be possible to purchase a suitable t-nut fitting which you can replace on your existing furniture to accommodate our legs. We do not supply such fittings ourselves, but a quick Google search may help.

I have purchased upholstery nails from you before, how do I find them again on your site?

We always supply our upholstery nails with a product label detailing SKU (part number), description and pack size. If you have the old box in front of you, simply enter the SKU into the ‘search products’ bar at the top of the site. This will give you multiple results, don’t worry, this is just how the site works. Just click on any of the search results.

This will take you to the product page. Now use the ‘head diameter’ drop down menu to select the nail you require. If your box label states that the nail you have is a 1660 x 13mm nail you can select the 10.5mm – (1660 nail) option. Now select the 13mm option in the ‘shank length’ drop down menu and then use the ‘pack size’ drop down menu to select the required pack size. You should now see the product you require. Pop it in the basket and you are good to go.

For both products the testing regime was used to assess their strength and durability when used in an item of furniture. They have both gone through a 200,000-durability cycle, simulating heavy contract usage, without failure, so you can rest assured you are purchasing a quality product.
