Size 2 Scratch Awl – 3 1/2 inch (90mm) Blade

This quality Scratch Awl from C.S. Osborne has a hardened steel point and is used for marking a design layout or marking points e.g. to scribe a line on leather, wood or steel to be followed with a chisel or gauge. The tip of the awl is drawn across the surface leaving a shallow groove. It can also be pressed or tapped into the surface to make a location mark.
